Earrings

I've been meaning for a while to make a screen to hang my earrings on, but had never gotten around to actually doing it. After buying two new pairs of earrings from Target, I decided it was time to get my butt in gear. Before I went out to Menard's to buy some screen, I decided to look around my house for some, since it seems like just about anything can be found in the basement or attic (lamps, records players, space heaters, giant teddy bears, etc.)

Sure enough, I found a little screened window frame. I wiped it down, spray painted it white, and started hanging my earrings! At first, I thought it would be too big, but I soon discovered it was hardly big enough. Perhaps now I will actually wear all of my earrings instead of alternating between two basic pairs because the other ones are too hard to access. Here's the finished product hanging, on my closet door:

An entirely free, and entirely useful project!

  1. Rach, I LOVE this! Will you make me one for my birthday?? I have the same problem...I rotate through about 5 pairs of earrings because I forget about all of the other ones.
